QFPAY KOREA, Accelerating Business Expansion in the Korean Market

QFPAY KOREA, led by CEO Choi Byung-gu, announced on June 5th that it has officially begun its business activities in the Korean market. The company held a business agreement signing ceremony at the EL Group conference room in Sangam-dong, Seoul.

Firstly, QFPAY has signed a business agreement with Woorideul Alliance and EL Park, represented by Seok Ju-wan, to launch a pilot service for WAAS (wallet as a service) tailored to the digital asset services based in Jeju Island.

Under this agreement, Woorideul Alliance plans to introduce wallet services incorporating cross-border payments and content related to the healthcare services it actively pursues in Asia. Additionally, through collaboration with participating institutions in this agreement, pilot services such as NFTs based on Jeju Island's gift cards will also be launched.

Woorideul Alliance aims to establish an Asian healthcare ecosystem based on the Woorideul Green Medical Center in Jeju Island and will also provide digital asset services for the contribution to the local community in Jeju Island.

Particularly, by combining EL Park's metaverse technology and QFPAY Korea's validated content wallet technology, they expect to create a new cultural phenomenon, focusing on various artworks that have been traditionally invested in sculpture. Furthermore, Woorideul Alliance plans to attract participation from domestic healthcare startups and create a new community of partners in Asia.

In addition, QFPAY Korea will collaborate with the Asia Blockchain Public Consortium (ABPC), headed by President Lee Wook-hee, to provide WAAS services for underserved medical and financial groups in countries such as Vietnam, Thailand, and Bangladesh. This collaboration aims to promote the spread of excellent healthcare and IT technologies from South Korea.

Moreover, QFPAY Korea is also preparing various B2B2C services in line with the emergence of STO (Security Token Offering) businesses, which are expected to gain momentum from 2024 onwards. Leveraging their experience in Hong Kong and Japan, QFPAY will actively build a cooperative system for STO's business model and alliance ecosystem construction.

Currently, in South Korea, there are positive expectations for the evolution of the existing token ecosystem into a legal framework in line with the legalization of STO. In the second half of this year, companies are expected to actively participate in sandbox programs, explore business opportunities in securities, banking, and existing blockchain technology companies, and establish communities.

QFPAY KOREA plans to actively participate in the Asian payment and financial ecosystem based on STO in Korea. They also aim to contribute to the overseas market exploration and globalization of Korean startups and mid-sized companies.
