[브록피어스 미국대선후보] 과학기술을 대변하기위해 대선에 출마한 브록 피터스 비트코인재단 회장, 테크 툴과 플랫폼이 우리에게 축복이자 동시에 저주이기도 하다고 말한다. 트위터, 페이스북, 인스타그램은 인간의 자류를 촉진하고 네워크를 구축하고 연결해주고 기술개발을 촉진하며 무엇보다 변화를 이끌어왔다. 그러나 잘 관리하지않으면 세상을 증오, 공포, 흑색선전, 분열을 가져다 준다.
브록피어스는 한국을 사랑하는 사람이다. 아역배우로 성공한 후 많은 돈을 가지게되고, 게임이 몰입하면서 한국에서 게임머니 등의 회사를 차려 크게 성공하였고, 게임에서 사용하던 툴들을 배우면서 블록체인에 최초로 관심을 가진 사람으로서 비트코인, 이더리움, 코인베이스, 한국의 빗섬 뿐만아니라, 이오스, 스팀잇, 테터 등등 100개가 넘는 코인을 개발하는데 참여, 투자 하였다.. 기술이 세상을 바꾸며 세상을 이끌어간다고 믿는 이유이다.
그는 자신이 미국 대통령이되면 기술개발을 최우선 과제로 할 것이며, 그 발전하는 기술이 반드시 인류에게 혜택을 주고 공평, 공정하고 의미있는 발전, 즉 좋고 긍정적인 발전을 하도록 이끌 것이라고 말한다. 기술이 잘못 다루면 인간의 갈등을 조장하고, 현재 미국은 가장 갈등이 크게 조성되고 최고로 분열된 사회를 맞았는데, 이런 일이 없도록 하겠다고 다짐한다. 긍정적인 기술발전을 원한다면 브록피어스에게 한표를 찍어달라고 호소한다.

You probably know I’m passionate about technology. I am a firm believer that the tech tools and platforms we’ve built over the last few decades are inherently neutral. I see this as both a blessing, and a curse. Platforms like Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram can be utilized to promote freedom, foster connection, spur innovation, and inspire change. But, those same technologies in the wrong hands, can instill fear, spread hate, push propaganda, and sow division.
The 2020 election - this election - is the most divisive election I have witnessed in my life. Americans are questioning the integrity of the electoral process. Accusations of voter fraud, voter suppression, and electoral corruption threaten to destroy the fabric of our great nation. We are losing Faith in the system.
Which is why I’m excited to share this historic moment with all of you. A moment I hope will help pave the way to future elections that are safe, secure, and fraud-free. On October 12th, the first blockchain vote cast for a US Presidential Candidate in a general election, was cast for Karla & myself, in Utah.
That vote was cast from a mobile phone.

I believe technology has the power to destroy our nation, but also the power to save it. As President, I will fight to ensure technology is used for good - to protect, benefit, empower, inspire, and restore faith in our public institutions - and ultimately our faith in each other.
